Registered Nurse (RN), Gwinnett County Georgia

Seeking RNs with Med-Surg/ICU experience.

 

The Registered Nurse will perform duties in accordance with unit specific standards of care and evidence by documentation, observation and competencies.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assessment completed within appropriate time frame
  • Changes in patient’s physiological and behavioral status are recognized, documented as they occur
  • Patient care is prioritized and delegated based on patient needs
  • Manages pain through assessment (with appropriate pain scale) intervention, re-assessment within appropriate time period
  • Adverse response to care or treatment is recognized, documented and reported to the physician
  • Provides patient care with consideration of professional ethics
  • Delivers medication according to policy
  • Follows policies and procedures regarding safety and precautions, uses all safety devices and processes
  • Implements orders in timely manner
  • Ensures accuracy in scanning and documentation of meds
  • Hand off communication occurs at shift change, between departments, upon transfer and discharge
  • Maintains patient/employee confidentiality and privacy; HIPPA

 

Requirements:

  • Current Georgia RN license
  • Current CPR certification
  • Great communication skills
  • Drug Screen and Background check
